Maya D. Ortiz
Youth baseball coach and mentor
- 🇬🇧 Southampton, England, United Kingdom
- 1984 to 2000
- English
For 16 years I ran the baseball program at Southampton Athletic Club in Southampton. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
