For 47 years I have been the special education teacher at Saint Petersburg Public School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Maxim
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me special education in 1990 at Saint Petersburg Public School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
