Matthew Hendricks
13 years teaching history in Miami
- 🇺🇸 Miami, Florida, United States
- 2001 to 2023
- English
I taught history at Miami Boys' School in Miami from 2001 to 2023. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Matthew
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Matthew: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

you taught me history in 2011 at Miami Boys' School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam!

A small gift is a big thank-you.
