I teach special education at Lincoln Technical College in Manukau since 1978. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I never raise my voice.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Matiu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
