Mateus Felipe Farias
Elder care nurse at Ribeirão Preto University Hospital

I've been a nurse for 25 years, most of them in elder care at Ribeirão Preto University Hospital in Ribeirão Preto. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Mateus
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
Areas of care
What gifts mean to Mateus: I'd put gifts toward a training course in palliative care.
