For nine years I ran the baseball program at Savannah Football Club in Savannah. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mateo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Mateo: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
