Mason Ruiz
Volunteer mentor with Aurora Youth Network
- 🇺🇸 Aurora, Illinois, United States
- Aurora Youth Network
- 1993 to 2005
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 310 people through Aurora Youth Network.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Mason: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
