For 33 years I've run the softball program at Jacksonville Fairview Community Club in Jacksonville. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mason
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
