For 14 years I was the environmental science teacher at Atlas Public School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 390 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Maryam
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Maryam: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
