I've played sitar from 1996 to 2015, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Maryam
I wrote my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Maryam: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
