Maryam Maryam Mansour
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
- Little Kingsway Workshop
- 2007 to 2015
- English, Arabic
I've worked in thatching from 2007 to 2015. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 340 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Maryam
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Maryam: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2013 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Zagazig.
