Thatching for 15 years in Sukkur
- 🇵🇰 Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan

- 1979 to 1994
- English, Urdu
I've worked in thatching from 1979 to 1994. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 420 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Maryam
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Maryam: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
