I've coached rowing at Lahore Community Club since 1994. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Maryam
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Maryam: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
