Marta L. Duarte

Geography teacher at Frangipani Secondary School, Since 2001

🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
Frangipani Secondary School
Since 2001
English, Spanish

I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 1,300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Marta

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

Subjects taught

Geography Economics Accounting

What gifts mean to Marta: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
