I taught design and technology at Hawassa High School in Hawassa from 2004 to 2019. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Marta
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Marta: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
