I taught accounting and home economics at Pietermaritzburg Technical College, Pietermaritzburg. I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 1,250 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Marlene
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Marlene: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
