For 28 years I have been the art teacher at Bloemfontein Technical College. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Marlene
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Marlene: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I was in your Year 7 class in 2002. You believed I could do it before I did! Truly.

You taught me art in 2000 at Bloemfontein Technical College. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam!
