I've coached hockey at Tijuana Stonebridge Boxing Gym since 2011. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Marisol
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Marisol: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
