Mariko Kaori Ueno
Sitar and folk music teacher
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- Setagaya Silverlake Quartet
- 2018 to 2025
- English
I've played sitar from 2018 to 2025, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
