I coached wrestling at Haarlem Swimming Club from 1989 to 2023. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.
More about Marijke
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Marijke: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
