I coached chess at Quezon City Boxing Gym from 2016 to 2024. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Maricel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Maricel: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
