I taught English literature at Coyoacán Primary School in Coyoacán from 2003 to 2018. Most days I taught Year 7, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 740 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mariana
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
