I taught art at Harmony Secondary School in Orlando from 1989 to 2008. Most days I taught teenagers, and my door was open at lunch.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mariana
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mariana: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
