I taught history and art at Oaxaca de Juárez Grammar School, Oaxaca de Juárez. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about María
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to María: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I was in your primary school children class in 2014. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Albany.
