For 44 years I've run the boxing program at Lapu-Lapu Swimming Club in Lapu-Lapu. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
What gifts mean to Maria: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
