25 years teaching home economics in Rio de Janeiro

I teach home economics at Greenfield Middle School in Rio de Janeiro since 2007. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 910 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Maria
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Maria: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
