For 28 years I have been the English literature teacher at Contagem Middle School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Maria
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Maria: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
