María R. Castillo
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇺🇸 Miami, Florida, United States
- Miami Pottery
- Since 1979
- English
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes glass art. My first show was in 1979 at Miami Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Miami Pottery, which keeps me honest.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about María
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to María: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
