I've spent 36 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Cedar Grove Institute of Technology in Juiz de Fora. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Maria
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
