María L. Sánchez

Martial arts and fitness coach, Tijuana

I coached martial arts at Tijuana Unity Athletic Club from 1987 to 2006. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
