Maria Ksenia Shevchuk
Coached rowing for 38 years in Dnipro
- 🇺🇦 Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine
- Dnipro Sports Club
- 1978 to 2016
- English, Ukrainian
I coached rowing at Dnipro Sports Club from 1978 to 2016. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
