For 26 years I was the religious studies teacher at Orchid Middle School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Maria
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
