Maria Hellström
Retired mathematics lecturer
- 🇸🇪 Uppsala, Uppsala, Sweden
- 1997 to 2012
- English
My subject is mathematics, and for 15 years I got to share it with undergraduates at Uppsala University.
Former students now work as a waiter and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Maria
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Maria: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
