I've coached boxing at Cali Trinity Community Club since 1986. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.
More about María
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to María: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
