María C. Acosta
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Little Iztapalapa Trades Guild
- Since 2014
- Spanish
I've worked in thatching since 2014. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 220 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about María
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to María: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
