Maria Aline Coelho

Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇧🇷 Salvador, Bahia, Brazil
  • The Stonebridge Shop
  • 2010 to 2020
  • Portuguese, English
I've worked in weaving from 2010 to 2020. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 400 apprentices. I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

What gifts mean to Maria: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
