Maria A. Russell
Saxophone and sitar teacher
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Los Angeles Quartet
- 1992 to 2010
- English
I play saxophone and sitar. I started in 1992 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 9 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I sing in a choir.
More about Maria
I wrote my first song when I was 15. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Maria: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.

I still have the recording from that night at Los Angeles Quartet. Greetings from Sydney.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
