María A. Ibáñez

English literature and geography teacher, San Jose

  • 🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
  • Highland Middle School
  • Since 1985
  • English
For 41 years I have been the English literature teacher at Highland Middle School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

More about María

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me English literature in 2005 at Highland Middle School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

I was in your first-year students class in 2014. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Enugu.
