I've been a nurse for 17 years, most of them in surgery at Our Lady of Peace Health Center in Sacramento. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
