Manuela Viviane Rezende
30 years teaching environmental science in Rio de Janeiro
- 🇧🇷 Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Rio de Janeiro Middle School
- 2004 to 2022
- Portuguese
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Manuela
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Manuela: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me environmental science in 2005 at Rio de Janeiro Middle School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
