Manuel D. Uy
Spanish teacher at Our Lady of Peace Academy, 2012 to 2021

- English, Filipino
I taught Spanish at Our Lady of Peace Academy in Philadelphia from 2012 to 2021. Most days I taught Year 10, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Manuel
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Manuel: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
