I coached tennis at Thane Sports Club from 1991 to 2019. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
