Mandla F. Chetty
Children's librarian in East London
- 🇿🇦 East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa
- Harmony Library
- 1987 to 2023
- English, Afrikaans
For 36 years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Harmony Library.
I ran the Saturday reading group and the summer reading challenge. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mandla: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
