Manal Yasmin El-Sayed
Taught accounting at Good Shepherd Secondary School
- 🇪🇬 Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
- 1986 to 2017
- English, Arabic
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Manal
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Manal: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
