I coached chess at Brooklyn Eastgate Youth Club from 2010 to 2025. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm still learning every day.
