My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1978 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 23 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Maliha
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Maliha: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
