I've spent 19 years as a lecturer in political science at Pune University in Pune. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a night-shift cleaner and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Malathi
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Malathi: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
