I coached athletics at Cairo Youth Club from 1994 to 2012. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Majid
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Majid: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
