English literature and special education teacher, Limerick
- 🇮🇪 Limerick, Munster, Ireland
- Since 1979
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 47 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I play music while people worked.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mairead
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me English literature in 1983 at Limerick Grammar School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped! Truly.
