Maina Tumusiime Karanja

Drama and home economics teacher, Fort Portal

  • 🇺🇬 Fort Portal, Western Region, Uganda
  • Fort Portal Secondary School
  • 2008 to 2024
  • English, Swahili
I taught drama at Fort Portal Secondary School in Fort Portal from 2008 to 2024. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I answered every email, even at midnight. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

More about Maina

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Maina: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
